The National IT Board (NITB), Government of Pakistan, has advertised the position of Director AI and Discovery through the National Job Portal (NJP), inviting applications from experienced technology professionals to lead artificial intelligence and emerging-technology initiatives across the federal government's digital transformation agenda. This is a Grade NITS-3 contract position with a single vacancy, based at NITB headquarters in Islamabad, and forms part of a broader batch of senior technology leadership roles NITB is filling this month.

Eligible candidates must hold at minimum a Bachelor's degree, with a Master's degree preferred, in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Software Engineering, Data Science, IT Management or a closely related discipline from an HEC-recognized institution; NITB has listed over 50 acceptable degree titles spanning associate, bachelor's, master's and doctoral levels. Candidates must additionally possess a minimum of 7 to 10 years of relevant experience in digital technologies, software engineering, data science, artificial intelligence, machine learning or other emerging technologies, with certifications in AI or machine learning considered an asset. The age bracket for this post is 35 to 55 years, and the role involves technical leadership, proof-of-concept delivery, model evaluation and emerging-technology research for government digital platforms.
