The Finance Division, Government of Pakistan, has announced one vacancy for the post of Infrastructure & System Engineer, Management Position Scale MP-I, in its Government Payments and Receipts Transformation Unit (GPRTU), based in Islamabad. The GPRTU has been set up to ensure coordinated and accelerated adoption of the Raast instant-payment rail for government payments and receipts. Reporting to the Chief Transformation Officer/Project Director, the incumbent will review the hosting, network and platform environments of government entities seeking Raast integration, assess infrastructure readiness for high-volume, real-time payment processing, recommend improvements to network, storage, server and database configuration, define infrastructure standards for high availability, disaster recovery and scalability, support entities with network security and API-gateway configuration during integration, conduct infrastructure validation and certification prior to live onboarding, and maintain documentation of infrastructure designs and incident-resolution records for governance and audit.

Candidates must hold a Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or a related technical field, with at least nine years of professional experience in system administration, network architecture and/or database management, ideally within high-volume or real-time payment environments. Demonstrated experience with cloud, hybrid or on-premises infrastructure supporting mission-critical applications, and experience managing high-volume transaction systems for large-scale government or financial platforms, is required, along with a strong understanding of infrastructure security, resilience and disaster-recovery planning.
