About This Job

MOITT is inviting applications from both male and female candidates for 1 vacant Member Legal post within Ministry of Information Technology and Telecommunication (MOITT). The appointment will be made on a contractual basis, and the recruitment is being carried out to fill operational needs within the department.

The posting will be at Islamabad. However, the appointing authority retains the right to post the selected candidate to any office or station under Ministry of Information Technology and Telecommunication (MOITT) within Islamabad or elsewhere in Pakistan as circumstances demand.

The prescribed age limit is 18-62 years (as on the closing date). Age relaxation rules issued by the government from time to time shall apply.

Age note: Maximum age 62 years as of closing date (as stated in ad, not platform default).

Educational requirement: Ph.D. in Law from HEC-recognized institution with 7+ years relevant experience; OR Master's in Law from HEC-recognized institution with 9+ years relevant experience. Must demonstrate evidence-based experience in legislative drafting, including preparation of Bills, Acts, Ordinances, Rules. Must be enrolled as High Court Advocate with minimum 5 years post-enrolment practice. Experience in IT/Telecom sector preferred.. Candidates are expected to have completed this qualification from a recognized institution. Original documents and attested copies will be required at the time of the interview.

Experience requirement: Minimum 5 years post-enrolment practice as High Court Advocate; 7-9 years relevant legal experience depending on qualification (see qualification field). Candidates must demonstrate the required experience through experience certificates, appointment letters, or other official documentation.

The initial contract period for this position is 3 years, extendable for 2 additional years on yearly basis. Extension of the contract beyond the initial term will depend on performance, availability of funds, and operational requirements of the department.
