About This Job

The Indus River System Authority (IRSA) is recruiting project staff for its Telemetry Project, installing a real-time discharge-monitoring system at 27 key sites across the Indus Basin Irrigation System. One post of Monitoring Assistant (Electrical/Electronics) is on offer to support data compilation and reporting for the project.

The Monitoring Assistant will collect and compile field observations during flow measurements, assist the reporting hierarchy in issuing various flow-measurement reports, and compare flow-measurement results with reported telemetry discharges, highlighting where rating curves at key sites need updating. Eligible candidates must be up to 30 years of age with a DAE in Electrical/Electronics from a recognized institute, preferably 5 years of experience on water-related structures, a good understanding of barrage and canal operations, good communication skills, and proficiency in MS Office.

This is a project-mode appointment on the PPS-05 pay package of Rs. 70,000 per month plus 5% annual increment, with posting possible anywhere at project sites in Pakistan.
