The National Database & Registration Authority (NADRA), through its NTL arm, has announced an opening for Chief Internal Auditor (Deputy Director) on a contractual basis, based at its headquarters on Shahrah-i-Jamhuriat, G-5/2, Islamabad. This is a senior leadership role responsible for building and running a risk-based internal audit function that supports NTL's Digital Public Infrastructure initiatives, including Digital ID, Digital Payments, and Data Exchange programs, and reports directly to the Audit Committee and Board of Directors.

Candidates must hold a professional qualification such as ACA, ACMA, ACCA, CIA, or CISA, or an equivalent credential from a recognized body, along with sound knowledge of auditing standards, corporate governance, and risk-based audit methodologies. A minimum of 8 to 10 years of progressive audit experience is required, ideally including a leadership role in internal audit, risk management, or compliance, with prior experience in public or private sector enterprises or technology-driven organizations considered a strong advantage. The maximum age limit is 44 years, which already includes a 5-year relaxation, and government or semi-government employees must submit a No Objection Certificate (NOC) along with their application. Qualification Required

Responsibilities

Develop and execute a risk-based internal audit plan aligned with NTL's strategic priorities and Board directives.,Evaluate the effectiveness of internal controls, risk management, and governance frameworks across all business units.,Conduct financial, operational, IT, and compliance audits to ensure adherence to statutory laws, policies, and regulations.,Review the reliability and integrity of financial and operational information and reporting methods.,Verify compliance with the Companies Act 2017, Public Sector Companies (Corporate Governance) Rules 2013, and PPRA Rules 2004.,Present audit findings, reports and recommendations directly to the Audit Committee and Board of Directors.,Monitor implementation of agreed corrective actions and follow up on audit recommendations.,Liaise with external auditors and ensure effective coordination to avoid duplication of efforts.
