National Tariff Commission has announced a recruitment drive for 1 Senior Economist / Econometric Expert post on a contractual basis. The opportunity is open to both male and female candidates who meet the prescribed eligibility criteria, and the vacancy falls under the purview of National Tariff Commission.

The posting will be at Islamabad. However, the appointing authority retains the right to post the selected candidate to any office or station under National Tariff Commission within Islamabad or elsewhere in Pakistan as circumstances demand.

The prescribed age limit is 18-35 years (as on the closing date). Age relaxation rules issued by the government from time to time shall apply.

The minimum educational qualification required for this position is: PhD/Master's degree or equivalent in Economics (specialization in International Trade / Econometrics); mandatory proficiency in Stata, R, Python and CGE/Partial Equilibrium modeling. Candidates must hold the stated qualification from a recognized university or institution at the time of application.

Experience requirement: 10+ years in quantitative trade research, tariff analysis, or related impact assessments. Candidates must demonstrate the required experience through experience certificates, appointment letters, or other official documentation.
