National Grid Company of Pakistan Limited (NGC), formerly the National Transmission and Despatch Company (NTDC), has announced Security Cadre recruitment on a contract basis through the National Testing Service. Among the posts is Deputy Manager (Security), equivalent to Grade-18, with four vacancies distributed across Open Merit, Sindh (Urban), Punjab, and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa quotas. NGC operates Pakistan's national high-voltage power transmission and despatch network, and this leadership post offers retired armed-forces officers a continued role in protecting critical national infrastructure.

The position is reserved for retired Majors and equivalent officers from the Army and Civil Armed Forces who have Command, Staff, and Intelligence experience in operational counter-terrorism environments, and who have completed the prescribed colour service for the rank -- 23 years for Major. Candidates holding PSC, ISC, or LSC qualifications will be preferred in that order, and additional weight will be given to those with proven war-on-terror or Special Services Group experience. The upper age limit is 55 years as reckoned on the advertisement's closing date. Officers who took premature or compulsory retirement, or who were retired on misconduct or fault, are not eligible to apply.

Interested candidates must apply online through NTS, pay the Rs. 650 test fee against the generated challan, and then courier or post the printed application and paid challan to NTS's Islamabad office so it arrives before the deadline; educational and experience documents are not needed at this stage but must be produced, duly attested, if called for the written test and interview. Selected officers will serve on a three-year contract, extendable by mutual consent, with postings anywhere in Pakistan as required by the company. A tentative test date of 23 August 2026 has been announced, and applications must reach NTS on or before 3 August 2026.

Qualification Required
