About This Job

National Grid Company of Pakistan Limited (NGC), formerly NTDC, is recruiting for its Security Cadre on a contract basis through the National Testing Service. The Security Officer post, equivalent to Grade-16, is open to retired armed-forces personnel with a security background, and candidates from Punjab, Sindh, and Balochistan will be given preference. This role forms part of NGC's efforts to strengthen protection of its transmission network infrastructure across the country.

Eligible candidates are retired Honorary Captains/Lieutenants, Subedar Majors, or Subedars from the fighting and supporting arms of the Army and Civil Armed Forces, along with eligible PAF Combatants/Provost and PN Marines/Provost personnel. Preference will go to intelligence-qualified officers who have 2 to 3 years of field or staff experience in security duties, and applicants must have a good character record. A medical category "A" fitness standard applies, and shortlisted candidates must clear physical fitness tests -- a 1-mile run, push-ups, sit-ups, and reach-ups -- at the interview stage. The maximum age is 52 years as reckoned on the advertisement's closing date.

Applications are submitted online via NTS along with a Rs. 650 test fee paid against the generated challan; the printed application and paid challan must then be couriered or posted to NTS's Islamabad office to arrive before the deadline. No photocopies of educational or experience documents are required at the application stage, but original, attested copies must be produced if shortlisted. Selected officers will be engaged on a three-year contract, extendable by mutual consent, with a tentative test date of 23 August 2026. Applications must reach NTS on or before 3 August 2026.

7. Get your fingerprints updated in the NADRA system beforehand -- biometric verification of all shortlisted candidates will be carried out at NTS Test Centers before the written test begins.
8. Be prepared for the physical fitness tests (1 mile run, push-ups, sit-ups, reach-ups) and a medical category "A" assessment at the interview stage.
