National IT Board (NITB) is hiring a Cyber Security Analyst (SOC) (PPS-9) on contract for one vacancy in Islamabad, to work within the Security Operations Centre of the Smart Islamabad Initiative's Fusion Centre, recruited through the National Job Portal (NJP). The analyst will monitor the SIEM platform around the clock for security alerts, anomalies, intrusions and other threat events across the project's critical digital infrastructure.

Key duties include responding to security incidents with initial triage, containment and escalation as per the incident-response plan, conducting vulnerability assessments, log analysis and access reviews across all Fusion Centre platforms, and maintaining SOC records, audit trails and compliance reports in line with PECA 2016 and NITB's own security policy. The analyst will also define and maintain firewall rules, security configurations and access-control policies. Eligible candidates should hold a Master's degree in Cybersecurity or Computer Science (16 years of education) and must hold a recognised cybersecurity certification such as CISSP, CEH or CompTIA Security+, along with 4 years of relevant experience. The upper age limit is 45 years, with relaxation already incorporated per NITB's posting; minimum age defaults to 18. The post is open to both genders with no domicile restriction mentioned.
