About This Job
The Office of the Ombudsperson (Mohtasib) Punjab, the statutory body established under the Protection Against Harassment of Women at the Workplace Act, 2010 and mandated to ensure the Act's effective implementation across the province, has issued Advertisement No. 26-02 (IPL-9368) inviting applications from eligible, Punjab-domiciled candidates for engagement, purely on a temporary basis, against a range of positions at its Head Office in Lahore and its Regional Offices located at the district level across Punjab, including the post of Assistant Director (I.T). 1 vacancy is currently available for this post, engaged for an initial period of six months that may be extended further based on satisfactory performance, giving IT professionals an opportunity to work with a provincial institution focused on workplace-harassment redressal and access to justice for women. The Authority has reserved the right to increase or decrease the number of posts advertised, or to cancel the recruitment process at any stage, without assigning any reason.
Candidates must hold a 16-year Computer Science, Information Technology, or Software Engineering degree from an HEC-recognized university, backed by at least five years of post-qualification professional experience in software development, ideally gained in a public-sector or reputable private organization. The role calls for hands-on experience designing, developing, implementing, and maintaining software systems, sound command of Microsoft .NET technologies, databases, and system integration, along with required working knowledge of PHP, ASP.NET MVC/Web API, and complex multi-tier distributed web application development; preference is given to candidates who have led a development team on major IT or software projects. Applicants must be aged between 25 and 40 years, hold a Punjab domicile, and be open to both male and female candidates.

Qualification Required
- Qualification: Master's degree (16 years of education) in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or an equivalent/relevant discipline from an HEC-recognized university, with practical experience designing, developing, implementing, and maintaining software systems and applications, and sound knowledge of Microsoft .NET technologies, databases, and system integration.
