Government College University (GCU) Lahore, one of Pakistan's oldest and most respected public-sector universities with a history dating back to 1864 and chartered status since 2002, has announced 1 vacancy for Professor - Electrical Engineering in the Department of Electrical Engineering, advertised under ADV-21/2026/GCUL. Minimum Number of Publications: 15 research publications with at least 5 in the last five years in HEC/PEC recognized journals. Selection will be made purely on merit through scrutiny of applications followed by an interview of shortlisted candidates; incomplete applications or those missing required documents will not be entertained. A general age relaxation of up to 5 years for men and 8 years for women applies on the upper age limit, in line with the Government of the Punjab S&GAD circular No. SOR-1(S&GAD)9-36/8-1, and the university reserves 5% of seats for minorities and 3% for persons with disabilities in accordance with government policy.
