Sector Specialist - Quantity Engineer

The Ministry of Planning, Development & Special Initiatives, Government of Pakistan, has advertised the position of Sector Specialist - Quantity Engineer through the National Job Portal (NJP), seeking a highly experienced civil engineering professional to support technical appraisal and monitoring of public sector development projects. This is a PPS-10 contract position with one vacancy, initially awarded for two years and extendable based on performance, based at the Ministry's headquarters in Islamabad.

Eligible candidates must hold a Bachelor of Engineering (BE) degree in Civil Engineering with a minimum of 16 years of field experience, or alternatively a Master's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field with at least 14 years of field experience. In addition, candidates must demonstrate 10 to 15 years of relevant experience covering project appraisal, review of PC-I documents, quantity surveying, cost variations, cost estimation, contract administration, implementation support, monitoring, evaluation and technical review of public sector development projects. This is a senior technical role suited to civil engineers with a strong background in the Public Sector Development Programme (PSDP) process.
