About This Job
The Indus River System Authority (IRSA) is recruiting project staff for its Telemetry Project - a real-time discharge-monitoring system at 27 key sites across the Indus Basin Irrigation System spanning Punjab, Sindh, Balochistan and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. Two posts of Sub Engineer (Civil) are on offer, covering flow-measurement duties at project sites nationwide.
The Sub Engineer (Civil) will conduct flow measurements at rivers and canals of assigned sites, taking readings with conventional current meters or ADCP through wading, boat or bridge as conditions require. Eligible candidates must be up to 30 years of age with a three-year DAE diploma in Civil Technology from a recognized institution possessing at least 5 years of relevant experience in regulation, flow monitoring and operation of irrigation systems, along with proficiency in MS Word, Excel and related software.
This is a project-mode appointment on the PPS-05 pay package of Rs. 70,000 per month plus 5% annual increment, with postings possible anywhere at project sites in Pakistan. Qualification Required
- Qualification: Three years' diploma of Associate Engineering (DAE) in Civil Technology from a recognized institution with at least 5 years' relevant experience of regulation/flow monitoring and operation of irrigation systems; proficiency in MS Word/Excel and related software required.
