About This Job
The Indus River System Authority (IRSA) is recruiting project staff for its Telemetry Project - a real-time discharge-monitoring system at 27 key sites across the Indus Basin Irrigation System spanning Punjab, Sindh, Balochistan and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. The largest single category on offer is 26 posts of Sub Engineer (Electrical/Electronics), covering the Electrical, Telecom and Power disciplines at project sites nationwide.
The Sub Engineer (Electrical/Electronics) will assist the Assistant Director in field operations for timely fault addressal, and will transmit collected field data to the data-processing section after preliminary computation and analysis. Eligible candidates must be up to 30 years of age with a three-year DAE diploma in Electrical/Electronics Technology from a recognized institution, at least 5 years of hands-on experience installing or operating Instrument Control and SCADA applications, and proficiency in MS Word, Excel and related software; expertise with systems at barrages or dams is preferred.
This is a project-mode appointment on the PPS-05 pay package of Rs. 70,000 per month plus 5% annual increment, with postings possible anywhere at project sites in Pakistan. Qualification Required
- Qualification: Three years' diploma of Associate Engineering (DAE) in Electrical/Electronics Technology from a recognized institution; at least 5 years' hands-on experience in installation/operation of Instrument Control and SCADA applications; expertise in relevant systems at barrages/dams preferred; proficiency in MS Word/Excel and related software required.
