Visiting Faculty, University Law College
University Law College
Visiting Faculty required at University Law College, University of the Punjab, Lahore for Academic Session 2026-2027 to teach LL.B. classes.
Apply before 25 August 2026. Full application steps and eligibility criteria are below.
About This Job
The University Law College at the University of the Punjab, Lahore, is inviting applications from qualified legal academics for Visiting Faculty positions to teach LL.B. classes during the 2026-2027 academic session. This is an open, ongoing pool rather than a fixed number of posts, allowing the College to draw on visiting faculty as teaching needs arise across its various LL.B. courses and specializations, and offers experienced legal professionals and academics an opportunity to contribute to one of Pakistan's most established law schools.
Applicants must hold an LL.M, M.Phil, Ph.D, or an equivalent qualification from an HEC-recognized institution, along with relevant teaching or professional experience in the legal field; the exact duration of experience required is left to the College's discretion and will be assessed case by case. No formal age limit is specified for this visiting appointment, and selection will be based primarily on academic credentials, subject expertise, and interview performance rather than a fixed merit formula.
Interested candidates should submit an updated CV along with copies of their CNIC, academic degrees and transcripts, and an experience certificate either by email to careers.law@pu.edu.pk or by hand at the College Office during working hours, on or before the closing date of 25 August 2026 (Ref. No. D/291/LC); applications received after the closing date will not be entertained. There is no stated application fee for this visiting-faculty pool. Only shortlisted candidates will be called for an interview at the University Law College and should bring hard copies of all relevant documents at that time.
Visiting faculty positions at the University Law College offer flexible, course-based teaching engagements rather than a full-time appointment, making them well suited to practising advocates, judges, and academics who wish to contribute to legal education alongside their existing professional commitments. Candidates with prior teaching experience at the LL.B. level, or with specialised expertise in high-demand subjects such as constitutional law, criminal law, or commercial law, are particularly encouraged to apply, though the College welcomes applications across all areas of the LL.B. curriculum. The College's LL.B. programme is one of the most sought-after law degrees in Punjab, and visiting faculty play an important role in maintaining a low student-to-teacher ratio across its many specialised and core courses. Those new to visiting-faculty arrangements at PU should note that engagements are typically renewed on a semester basis depending on enrolment and departmental need, rather than guaranteeing continued teaching in subsequent sessions.
