Key Responsibilities

Execute hypothesis-driven threat hunting across endpoints, networks, cloud, AI equipped platforms and logs to detect malicious activity by passing current security controls. Analyze threat intelligence and translate it into hunting queries and detection rules; map adversary TTPs to MITRE ATT&CK and MITRE ATLAS. Hunt for advanced threats (lateral movement, persistence, exfiltration) using threat intel & behavioral analytics. Develop hunting playbooks, use-case libraries, and automation scripts to elevate SOC maturity and detection. Optimally utilize the received threat intel such as sweeps/implementation on relevant security controls etc. Strong communication skills for presenting technical findings to non-technical audiences. Proactively uncover significant threats and fine-tune detection rules with more effectiveness. Transfer knowledge to SOC Analysts, to enhance quality in their work and sound judgement in high pressure incident handling. Coordinate with relevant teams of ITG and other business units for gap remediation in log content. Perform any other related duties and responsibilities as assigned by the supervisor.
