The Balochistan Public Service Commission (BPSC) has announced three regular vacancies for Computer Instructor in BPS-17 under the Science & Information Technology Department, Government of Balochistan, through its Consolidated Advertisement No. 09/2026 dated 9 October 2026. One seat is reserved for open merit across the province, one for the Sibi Zone and one for Quetta City, in line with the provincial zonal allocation policy. This is a good opening for IT graduates who want a permanent provincial government career that combines technical knowledge with classroom teaching, and it is one of nine categories of posts announced together in the same BPSC advertisement.

To qualify, candidates need a second-division Master's degree in IT, Computer Science or Software Engineering, or a four-year second-division Bachelor's in Computer Science, IT or Information Systems, or a second-division Bachelor of Engineering in Computer Systems, Software Engineering, Information and Communication Systems or Computer and Information Systems, all from recognized universities. Prior teaching experience in IT is listed as a preference rather than a strict requirement. The screening test will be an MCQ paper in the relevant subject. The standard age bracket is 18 to 28 years, calculated on the closing date, but the Government of Balochistan has granted a general relaxation of 43 years for fresh general candidates, persons with disabilities and legal heirs of Shaheed, while government servants with at least two years of continuous regular service can apply up to the age of 50. No further relaxation beyond these limits will be entertained by any authority. Both male and female candidates are eligible, and applicants must hold the local or domicile certificate of their district in Balochistan, with married women outside government service allowed to apply on the basis of their husband's domicile if the certificate carries their name. Experience, where relevant, only counts if it was gained in regular, full-time paid employment after obtaining the required qualification; part-time, honorary, apprentice and internship work is not considered.

Applications for the Computer Instructor posts are accepted only through the online system on BPSC's website, www.bpsc.gob.pk, and the Commission has made clear that no hardcopy of the online form needs to be posted. After filling in the form, applicants generate a generic PSID and pay a fee of Rs. 800 through any 1Link banking channel, which includes mobile wallets such as EasyPaisa and JazzCash, banking apps, ATMs, internet banking, or the counter of any 1Link member bank branch; step-by-step fee guidelines are posted under the Jobs tab of the BPSC website. Admission certificates and roll number slips for the screening test will later be uploaded to the same website, with SMS alerts sent to candidates, and everyone must carry the downloaded slip along with an original CNIC to the test centre. Those who clear the written test move on to a viva voce covering current affairs, general knowledge about Balochistan, Pakistan and the wider world, Islamic or religious studies, and Pakistan studies, and they will be given ten days after BPSC's notice to submit a verified and attested set of documents, including educational certificates, CNIC, photographs, domicile and, for serving employees, a departmental permission certificate. The last date to apply is Wednesday, 11 November 2026, and no extra time will be allowed for any delay, so interested candidates should complete their applications well before the deadline rather than waiting until the final days.

Domicile Note

The candidate should submit local/domicile certificate of his/her district. A married female candidate, not already in Government Service, who desires to apply on the basis of local/domicile of her husband, is required to submit the local/domicile certificate of her husband containing her name. In case of in-service candidates, the local/domicile certificate endorsed in service record of department will be accepted.

Eligibility Note

Viva Voce Topics

The written/MCQs test qualified candidates will be called for Viva Voce Test as follows: Current Affairs (last one or two month's important happenings/issues highlighted in Print/Electronic Media); General Knowledge (related to Balochistan, Pakistan and International); Islamic/Religious Studies (Islamic questions regarding day to day issues as Muslim, Holy Prophet's life (PBUH) and period of Khulafa-e-Rashideen) - a candidate belonging to other religion would be asked questions according to his/her religion; Pakistan Studies (1857 to 1947 and 1947 to till date).

Experience Definition

Unless otherwise prescribed in the recruitment rules, the requisite experience (with necessary valid documentary proof) means the post qualification experience gained in a regular, full-time paid job and that of on job training subject to its relevancy acquired after obtaining the required qualification till closing date. Experience as part time, honorary, apprentice and internee will not be considered/counted as experience.

Documents For Viva Voce

Candidates who qualify for viva-voce test will be intimated by post, SMS and telephonically to furnish/submit one (01) set of requisite documents duly verified by the concerned Board/University and attested by a Gazetted Officer i.e. four (04) photographs, Matric, Intermediate DMCs/certificates, Bachelor, Master, M.Phil., Ph.D. Transcript/Degrees, CNIC, Experience Certificate (where required) showing nature of job/detailed job description issued by an authorized officer of the Department concerned, Local/Domicile Certificate (duly verified by the competent authority), Departmental Permission Certificate (in case of government serving) etc. within ten (10) days of the Notice from BPSC. Candidates who fail to furnish the requisite documents within stipulated time or furnish incorrect/incomplete information shall be rejected straight away.
