Reporting directly to the Chief Executive Officer, the CITO will be responsible for FESCO's overall IT strategy, policy, protocols and enterprise-level information systems, leading digital transformation initiatives across the company, overseeing contract negotiations with IT vendors and service providers, preparing and executing IT budgets as part of corporate planning, managing all IT personnel and departmental affairs, coordinating with other department heads to maximize effective delivery of IT services, and maintaining relationships with key electricity-sector IT stakeholders such as PITC. This is a senior, board-level appointment intended to modernize FESCO's technology backbone as the company continues its digital transformation drive.

Applicants, male or female, must hold a 16-year Bachelor's degree (Honours) in Computing, Data Analytics, Telecom, MIS, AI, Robotics, Cyber Security, Information Technology, Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related field, or alternatively a Master's degree in Computer Science, IT or a related field from an HEC-recognized local or foreign university, with an 18-year MS/M.Sc. in a related discipline given preference over the minimum qualification. Candidates need a minimum of 15 years of post-qualification experience, including at least three years in a senior management role or position in the public or private sector, together with broad knowledge of information systems, software, languages, frameworks and industry trends, and demonstrated experience leading major organizational change, integrating teams across multiple business units, managing geographically dispersed workforces, and designing effective information-governance frameworks across the spectrum of IT service delivery. Qualification Required
