Gujranwala Electric Power Company (GEPCO), a leading public-sector electricity utility serving over 5.1 million consumers, has invited applications through the National Testing Service (NTS) for one Assistant Manager (Database Administration) post. The hiring is linked to GEPCO's Advanced Metering Infrastructure (AMI) project and is being made on contract, open-merit basis with a lump-sum pay package. Candidates must hold a four-year Bachelor's degree or a Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or Computer Software Engineering, duly recognized by HEC, along with at least two years of relevant experience. The age limit is 21 to 33 years, which already includes a five-year general relaxation; Scheduled Caste and Buddhist candidates receive an additional three years, while serving Government, WAPDA, or DISCOs employees with two years of continuous service may apply up to 43 years of age. Only candidates who clear the written test will be considered for interview, and shortlisting will follow GEPCO's applicable recruitment policy. The contract is initially for three years, extendable based on performance, though contractual appointees are not regularized at any stage.
