Enterprise Data Management Coordinator (DMC)

KPITB is hiring an individual consultant as Enterprise Data Management Coordinator (DMC) on scale MBS II to run the day-to-day operational side of the province's data-management function, reporting to the Managing Director of KPITB or the assigned Project Lead from a Peshawar duty station. The DMC will maintain data catalogs and metadata repositories, track data-quality and compliance issues across participating departments, and act as the operational bridge between technical teams building data systems and the non-technical government staff who ultimately depend on clean, well-labelled data to do their jobs. This is a coordination-heavy role: much of the value the DMC adds comes from chasing down inconsistencies across departments, keeping escalation logs current, and making sure interdepartmental data issues get resolved rather than quietly ignored. The DMC also maintains a running log of data-quality problems and their resolution status, so that KPITB leadership can see at a glance which departments are keeping their data clean and which still need follow-up, and helps set practical, achievable data standards that departmental staff without a technical background can actually follow.

The position requires sixteen years of education with a degree in Information and Communication Technology or a related discipline from an HEC-recognized university, with a Master's degree in Data Management, Information Technology, or Public Administration with an IT focus preferred given the seniority of the coordination role. A minimum of ten years of overall professional experience is needed, including at least three years specifically in data management, data operations, or enterprise data coordination work. Candidates should have real experience working with data catalogs, metadata repositories and tracking systems, and should be comfortable coordinating between technical and non-technical stakeholders across multiple departments at once; certifications such as CDMP or ITIL Foundation, along with prior public-sector or multi-stakeholder coordination experience, are preferred, and patience for repetitive follow-up work across many departments is genuinely part of the job.

This is a single-vacancy consultancy for an initial six months, extendable subject to satisfactory performance and available budget, paid as a monthly lump sum with no application fee charged.
