KPITB is recruiting an individual consultant to work as a Mobile Application Developer on its ICT Project, building cross-platform apps in React Native for both Android and iOS from a single codebase, with the assignment based at KPITB's Peshawar office. The consultant will translate wireframes and UI/UX designs into responsive, accessible mobile interfaces, integrate applications with RESTful APIs and third-party services such as payment gateways, SMS/OTP providers and mapping tools, and implement secure authentication using OAuth2, JWT and biometric sign-in in line with the OWASP Mobile Top 10. The role also covers offline-first functionality, push notifications, deep linking and native module development where React Native alone cannot reach required platform features, plus managing the full build, signing and release process on both the Google Play Store and Apple App Store in line with each store's review guidelines. The consultant will also configure CI/CD pipelines and over-the-air update mechanisms for mobile builds, implement crash reporting and usage analytics, and monitor post-release stability so that issues reported by real users are caught and resolved quickly.

Candidates should have sixteen years of education in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, Systems Engineering or a related field from an HEC-recognized institution, backed by at least seven years of post-qualification experience as a mobile developer with demonstrated React Native delivery. Strong command of JavaScript or TypeScript, state-management libraries such as Redux or Context, and experience integrating apps with RESTful APIs and third-party SDKs are expected. Practical familiarity with Git, mobile CI/CD tooling like Fastlane or App Center, and prior app-store publication experience will matter for this assignment, alongside solid documentation and communication skills for working across backend, UI/UX and QA teams. Experience implementing local data storage, background synchronization for low-connectivity use, and device-feature integrations such as camera, GPS and file storage access will also be relevant given the field-use context of many KPITB citizen-facing apps.

This is a single-post consultancy running an initial six months, extendable on the same terms subject to performance and funding, with the consultant reporting to the Director Technical at KPITB from Peshawar.
