About This Job
First Women Bank Ltd (FWBL) is hiring a Legal Officer within its Company Secretary & Legal Division at Head Office, Karachi, reporting to the Head Legal & Company Secretary. The role closely monitors litigation activities at every stage in the courts, ensures timely and accurate reporting, and protects the bank's legal interests.
Key responsibilities include appearing in courts and tribunals to monitor FWBL's cases; liaising with external counsel and assisting in preparation of court documents; drafting and vetting legal opinions and documents including property agreements, licenses, non-disclosure agreements, MOUs, bank guarantees, indemnity bonds, and authority letters; drafting recovery suits, leave-to-defend applications, written statements, and legal notices; proceeding to FIA, NAB, and the Registrar Properties Office as required; maintaining the court diary and MIS; handling audit issues and litigation matters related to regulators; and assisting the Divisional Head with approval memos.
Candidates should hold an LLB degree with a minimum of 3-5 years of relevant litigation experience, excellent drafting skills, and strong knowledge of banking laws.
