National Bank of Pakistan, the country's largest state-owned commercial bank, is looking for an Audit Team Member - Credit Reviewer to join its Audit & Inspection Group in Karachi. This is a contractual position for three years, renewable at the Bank's discretion, focused on reviewing corporate, commercial and SME credit portfolios along with trade finance operations. The role sits close to the heart of NBP's internal-control function, checking how loans are sanctioned, disbursed, utilised and monitored, and reports directly to the Department Head or Audit Controller — a genuine entry point into the Bank's audit career track for professionals with a credit background.

Applicants need at least a graduation degree recognised by the HEC of Pakistan, though a Master's degree or a fresh professional certification such as ACCA, CIA or FRM will be viewed favourably. NBP is asking for a minimum of four years of banking experience, two of which must be specifically in audit, corporate credit, SME commercial credit or credit risk analysis. Day to day, the successful candidate will conduct control tests on credit and trade-finance processes, evaluate how well Corporate/Commercial/SME borrowers are being monitored, flag early-warning signals on deteriorating exposures, and check compliance with SBP Prudential Regulations and NBP's own credit policy manuals. A working understanding of IFRS 9 credit staging and Expected Credit Loss concepts, along with strong analytical and report-writing skills, is expected since the job also involves finalising Credit Risk Review reports for Corporate Centre and regional units.

Qualification Required
