National Bank of Pakistan is looking for a Fraud Investigation Officer to join its Audit & Inspection Group, with the post open to placement in either Islamabad or Karachi. Offered on a three-year renewable contract and reporting to the Wing Head - Investigations, the role sits within a sensitive part of the Bank's control environment: investigating allegations of fraud and financial misconduct across NBP's branch and back-office network.

Candidates need at least a graduation degree recognised by the HEC of Pakistan, though a Master's degree or a relevant professional qualification in business, banking, audit, finance, law or criminology — or a certification like ACCA — will count in a candidate's favour; a fraud-specific certification such as Certified Fraud Examiner is considered an added advantage. NBP is looking for a minimum of four years of banking experience, two of which should be in fraud risk management, investigations, branch audit or management audit. The job itself involves conducting objective, thorough investigations into fraud allegations, reviewing and safeguarding evidence, undertaking field visits to branches and back offices, interviewing witnesses and preparing final investigation reports, reviewing the work of other investigators for completeness and accuracy, and liaising with law-enforcement authorities, legal counsel and court officials where a case requires it.

Qualification Required
