Resident Engineer – Civil (OG-I)

National Bank of Pakistan is recruiting Resident Engineers – Civil (OG-I) for its Logistics, Communications & Marketing area, covering postings in Abbottabad, Faisalabad, Karachi, Lahore and Mianwali. Reporting to the Departmental Head – Civil for the relevant region (Central, North or South), the engineer conducts site visits to assess ongoing projects, prepares cost estimates and bidding documents per the bank's policy, reviews and verifies project bills and invoices, and coordinates with project consultants, branches and regional offices. The role also covers issuing valuation certificates for House Building Finance, supervising building construction and renovation work, and providing on-site supervision as required. On top of estimation and bidding, the engineer supervises building construction and renovation work directly, provides on-site supervision wherever required, and issues valuation certificates for House Building Finance cases as part of the bank's property-lending process. NBP is filling this role across five cities simultaneously, reflecting the scale of the bank's ongoing branch construction, renovation and maintenance program across its national network.

Eligible candidates need a minimum B.E. (Civil) or B.Tech (Hons) Civil or an equivalent degree recognized by the HEC of Pakistan, with a Master's degree or relevant certification preferred. NBP is looking for at least 4 years of relevant experience, ideally including work at a bank or financial institution, along with solid knowledge of project estimation, billing and execution, strong written and verbal communication, and the ability to multitask across cross-functional teams. Beyond the core engineering qualification, NBP wants good analytical and problem-solving skills backed by strong business acumen, the ability to manage time effectively across multiple sites, and proficiency in MS Office for reporting and documentation.

The position is offered on a three-year contractual basis, renewable at management's discretion, with compensation as per NBP policy. Only shortlisted candidates will be called for a test and/or panel interview, with no TA/DA payable.
