About This Job
National Bank of Pakistan is hiring Resident Engineers – Electrical (OG-I) for its Logistics, Communications & Marketing area, with postings in Islamabad, Karachi and Lahore. Reporting to the Departmental Head – Electrical for the relevant region, the engineer performs site visits, prepares cost estimates in line with the bank's procedures and PPRA rules, reviews layout plans with supervisors and cross-functional teams, and prepares bidding documents and verifies project bills. A distinctive part of the role is monitoring and assessing the operation and maintenance of generators, UPS systems, distribution boards and solar installations, and supervising electrical work during construction and renovation projects to ensure proper installation and safety standards. Site supervision extends to monitoring and assessing the operation and maintenance of generators, UPS systems, distribution boards and solar installations, and providing hands-on oversight during construction and renovation to ensure proper installation and safety compliance at every stage. The multi-city hiring across Islamabad, Karachi and Lahore reflects how central reliable power infrastructure — generators, UPS systems and increasingly solar — has become to keeping the bank's branch network running.
NBP is looking for candidates with a minimum B.E. (Electrical/Electronics/Alternate Energy) or B.Tech (Hons) in the same discipline, or an equivalent HEC-recognized qualification, with a Master's degree or relevant certification preferred. At least 4 years of relevant experience is required, ideally including exposure to a bank or financial institution, along with strong project estimation and billing know-how and the ability to manage cross-functional coordination under time pressure. NBP also wants good analytical and problem-solving skills backed by strong business acumen, the ability to manage time effectively across multiple project sites, and solid proficiency in MS Office for cost estimation, reporting and documentation.
The role is offered on a three-year contractual basis, renewable at management's discretion, with compensation as per NBP policy. Only shortlisted candidates will be called for a test and/or panel interview, with no TA/DA payable. Candidates should indicate their preferred city and apply online via Sidat Hyder before the 25 September 2026 closing date. National Bank of Pakistan states it is an equal opportunity employer and welcomes applications from all qualified individuals, regardless of gender, religion, or disability. Selected candidates will be offered a compensation package and other benefits as per the bank's policy and rules for contractual staff.
