The National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA), the federal body under the Prime Minister's Office that leads Pakistan's disaster preparedness, response and risk-reduction work, has announced a vacancy for the post of Deputy Manager (NGT) as part of its October 2026 recruitment drive. There is one position available for this role, offered purely on a contract basis with a monthly lump-sum package treated as equivalent to PPS-08. The person selected will be responsible for helping plan NDMA/NIDM next-generation technology and AI initiatives, coordinating GIS, early-warning and decision-support projects with universities and partners, and preparing concept notes. Job Description

(1) Support the Manager in planning and implementing NDMA/NIDM next-generation technology and AI-based disaster management initiatives. (2) Coordinate with universities, research institutions, technology partners and relevant NDMA wings for technology-based DRR projects. (3) Lead technical coordination for AI, data analytics, GIS, early warning and decision-support applications for disaster risk management. (4) Monitor progress of technology projects, research collaborations, pilots and capacity-building activities and prepare periodic updates. (5) Facilitate development and integration of digital tools, dashboards, knowledge platforms and technology-enabled DRR solutions. (6) Support preparation of technical briefs, concept notes, research proposals, presentations and policy recommendations for senior management.
