The National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA), the federal body under the Prime Minister's Office that leads Pakistan's disaster preparedness, response and risk-reduction work, has announced a vacancy for the post of Manager (Operations NGT) as part of its October 2026 recruitment drive. There is one position available for this role, offered purely on a contract basis with a monthly lump-sum package treated as equivalent to PPS-09. The person selected will be responsible for leading the digital platforms, GIS applications and AI analytics behind disaster operations, overseeing digital disaster archives, and supervising the data work that feeds weather advisories and early warnings. Job Description

(1) Lead the development, maintenance and enhancement of digital platforms, GIS applications and spatial decision-support tools to strengthen situational awareness, operational planning and disaster response. (2) Oversee the application of AI, machine learning and advanced data analytics to disaster loss, damage, impact and relief data to generate actionable insights and support timely strategic and operational decision-making. (3) Direct the establishment and maintenance of integrated digital disaster archives incorporating historical records, geospatial data, satellite imagery and lessons learned to support risk assessment, preparedness, response planning and institutional knowledge. (4) Supervise the analysis, visualization and interpretation of meteorological, hazard and geospatial data for the preparation of weather advisories, alerts, early warning products and operational briefs. (5) Lead the identification, evaluation and practical adoption of emerging technologies, including AI, automation, GIS, remote sensing and predictive analytics, while coordinating technical teams and stakeholders to improve disaster monitoring, response and operational efficiency.
