Drivers (PPS-03)
Planning & Development Board, Government of the Punjab - Enhancing Institutional Effectiveness of Planning & Development Board — Planning & Development Board
Apply before 19 October 2026. Full application steps and eligibility criteria are below.
About This Job
The Planning & Development (P&D) Board, Government of the Punjab, has advertised 30 vacancies for the post of Driver (PPS-03) on a contract basis under its project "Enhancing Institutional Effectiveness of Planning & Development Board." Unlike the Board's other advertised posts in this same notice, these Driver positions are filled through a manual, postal application process rather than the online Punjab Job Portal, making this a large-scale hiring opportunity for qualified drivers across the province who will support the day-to-day transport needs of this provincial reform project.
Candidates must hold a Secondary School Certificate (2nd Division) from a recognized Board, along with either a valid light transport vehicle driving license backed by five years of driving experience, or a valid heavy transport vehicle driving license backed by two years of driving experience. The posts are open to both men and women between the ages of 25 and 35 as of the closing date, and unlike the Board's other four advertised posts in this notice, general age relaxation on the upper age limit for this particular post is separately admissible as per the Punjab Government's own rules and policy. Only candidates domiciled in the Punjab are eligible to apply, and the Board has indicated it may not fill every one of the 30 posts if suitable candidates are not found.
Unlike the Board's other four advertised posts, applicants for the Driver position must NOT apply online - instead, they are required to submit a hard copy of their application along with all requisite supporting documents directly to the Section Officer (General), Planning & Development (P&D) Board, Government of the Punjab, Lahore, Pakistan (phone 042-99059212), on or before 19 October 2026. Applications that are incomplete or lack the required documents will not be considered for shortlisting, and submission of fake documents or concealment of any fact will lead to disqualification. Only short-listed candidates will subsequently be called for a test or interview, where original documents must be produced; no TA/DA is admissible for attending. Serving government employees must route their applications through the proper channel, and the Board reserves the right to increase, decrease, or withhold filling any of the 30 advertised posts. The engagement will be purely on a contract basis, filled strictly on merit, and will not confer any right to regular appointment, seniority, or pension. Eligible drivers are encouraged to prepare and submit their applications by post well ahead of the deadline.
