The Pakistan Army has opened recruitment for Sepoy (Technical Trade) under its ongoing 'Recruitment as a Soldier' drive, with registration open from 1 September through 23 November 2026. This is a regular, pensionable enlisted post covering technical trades such as Vehicle Mechanic/Electrician, EME/Aviation, Signal Technician and Nursing Assistant, open nationwide through the Army's network of Selection & Recruitment Centres. The exact number of vacancies has not been published on the recruitment portal; eligible candidates who register and clear the required tests will be considered against the Army's current intake capacity.

Candidates must be male citizens of Pakistan, Azad Kashmir or Gilgit-Baltistan, either married or unmarried, holding a minimum of Matric Science (C grade), with higher-qualified candidates given preference. The minimum age is 17.5 years and the upper limit is 23 years as on 24 November 2026, with relaxations of up to 1 year for graduates, up to 2 years for Shuhada dependents, war-wounded relatives and driving-licence holders, and up to 3 years for Balochistan/KP merged-district domiciles. Minimum height is 5 feet 6 inches, relaxed by up to 2 inches for candidates from Balochistan and KP's merged districts and from Gilgit-Baltistan. A minority quota is also available.

Application forms are available at the Selection & Recruitment Centres in Quetta, Karachi, Hyderabad, Pano Aqil, Multan, Faisalabad, Lahore, Rawalpindi, Peshawar, Muzaffarabad, Gilgit, Khuzdar and D.I. Khan, and must be submitted with attested copies of educational certificates, the candidate's CNIC, an attested photocopy of the father's CNIC, and four passport-size photographs; incomplete applications will not be accepted. No application fee is mentioned on the portal. Candidates are tested through a Physical Test, an Intelligence Test, a Personality Test and a sub-trade-specific Technical Trade written test. Written paper varies by technical sub-trade (Matric Science level unless noted): Vehicle Mechanic/Electrician — English 20%, Mathematics 30%, Physics 30%, General Knowledge 10%, Islamiyat 10%. EME/Aviation — English 40%, Mathematics 30%, Physics 30%. Signal Technician — English 25%, Mathematics 25%, Physics 35%, General Knowledge 15%. Nursing Assistant (Intermediate pre-medical level) — English 10%, Biology 40%, Physics 30%, Chemistry 20%.

How to Apply

1. Apply between 1 September and 23 November 2026. Register online at www.joinpakarmy.gov.pk from 1 September to 16 November 2026, or register in person at the nearest Army Selection & Recruitment Centre or Regimental Centre any time from 1 September to 23 November 2026 (online registration is not mandatory).
2. Obtain the prescribed application form from an Army Selection & Recruitment Centre (Quetta, Karachi, Hyderabad, Pano Aqil, Multan, Faisalabad, Lahore, Rawalpindi, Peshawar, Muzaffarabad, Gilgit, Khuzdar and D.I. Khan) and submit it, along with attested photocopies of your credentials, at the centre where you wish to sit the test; incomplete applications will not be accepted.
3. Bring your original educational certificates with two attested photocopies, your own CNIC, an attested photocopy of your father's CNIC, a Domicile and Permanent Resident Certificate (for Azad Kashmir candidates), and four passport-size photographs; all documents and educational certificates must be attested by a gazetted officer.
4. After registration, candidates go through a Physical Test, an Intelligence Test, a Personality Test, and a trade-specific Written Test.

Quota Note

A minority quota is reserved across trades in this recruitment, subject to each trade's standard age, height, and educational eligibility criteria.

Height Relaxation Note

Candidates domiciled in the merged districts of Balochistan and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, and in Gilgit-Baltistan, get up to 2 inches' relaxation in the minimum height requirement (applicable to all trades in this recruitment).

Physical Test Standards

1-mile run in 7 minutes; chin-ups x3; push-ups x15; sit-ups x20; ditch crossing 7 feet. Failing any one of these tests is treated as an overall fail.
