About This Job

Pakistan Navy has announced Civilian Batch A-2027, inviting young men to join as Civil Apprentices in the Pakistan Navy Civilian (PNCA) industrial and technical staff, lower formation. A total of 57 vacancies are on offer at BPS-07, and the scheme is open only to Pakistani citizens. Selected candidates spend three years in apprenticeship training at the Pakistan Navy Polytechnic Institute in Karachi, after which they are absorbed into the Navy against vacant HS-I posts in BPS-11 along with the usual allowances. For a Matric-level student looking for a structured technical career with a guaranteed government job at the end of training, this is one of the more attractive entry routes available this season, and seats are distributed across every province and region so that candidates from all parts of the country get a fair share.

The posts are for male candidates only, aged between 15 and 19 years as on 01 January 2027. Applicants need a Matric (Science) certificate with at least 55 percent marks, while candidates from Balochistan qualify with 45 percent. Of the 57 seats, 16 are on open merit, 14 are reserved for Punjab plus two for Punjab minorities, two for urban Sindh and three for rural Sindh, four for Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, two for Balochistan, one each for Azad Kashmir, the former FATA and Gilgit-Baltistan, and a sizeable eleven seats for candidates from coastal areas. Successful apprentices sign a bond committing them to at least eight years of service after the three-year training period, and anyone who leaves early must refund the stipend and other training expenses. Apprentices also arrange their own boarding and meals during training. People dismissed from government service or military training, those convicted of moral turpitude, candidates rejected by an armed forces medical board, dual nationals and anyone submitting fake documents are not eligible.

Registration is entirely online through the Pakistan Navy recruitment website from 11 to 20 October 2026. After registering, candidates sit a computer-based preliminary test of intelligence and academic knowledge at the centre and time printed on their registration slip, which cannot be changed later. Shortlisted candidates are then called for a medical examination and a personality test at the recruitment office, and the final selection is made by Naval Headquarters on merit and provincial quota. Bring an original CNIC or Juvenile Card, original educational certificates and a coloured printout of the registration slip on test day, and keep that slip safe because the stamped original is needed for every later stage. Mobile phones are not allowed in the test hall, and no travel allowance is paid. Recruitment centres operate in 18 cities, including Karachi, Lahore, Rawalpindi, Peshawar, Quetta, Multan, Gilgit and Muzaffarabad. With a short ten-day window, eligible students should register early rather than waiting for the 20 October deadline.
