The Privatisation Commission, Government of Pakistan, is hiring a Consultant Transactions at Grade G-1 through the National Job Portal, a single-vacancy, contract-based post in Islamabad focused on the insurance industry. This is one of several Consultant Transactions positions the Commission has opened this cycle at different grades and with different sector focuses; unlike the parallel G-1 Consultant Transactions post oriented toward the power sector, this vacancy is oriented toward insurance and broader financial-sector transactions. At this senior consultant grade, duties include managing approved privatisation transactions end-to-end, collecting and analysing data on assigned entities covering ownership, financials, liabilities, legal standing, and operations, conducting preliminary due diligence, developing transaction execution strategies, evaluating and recommending optimal transaction structures, preparing key transaction documents such as Information Memorandums, bidding documents, SPAs, and JVAs, and coordinating with legal, financial, and technical experts throughout the process. The consultant is also expected to prepare briefs, reports, and presentations for the Commission, the Cabinet Committee on Privatisation, and other relevant forums.
Eligible candidates should hold a Master's degree in Business Administration, Economics, or Finance, or a related field, from an HEC-recognised university, or hold a professional certification such as CPA, FCMA, FCA, FCCA, CIMA, or CFA. The advertisement seeks relevant experience in the insurance industry, the broader financial sector, mergers and acquisitions, or regulatory affairs, and notes a preference for candidates with international exposure. A minimum of 10 years of relevant experience is required, and the maximum age at the time of application is capped at 55 years; the notice does not state a minimum age, nor does it mention any domicile or gender restriction, so the post is open on merit to applicants of either gender from anywhere in Pakistan. Candidates should note this insurance-focused vacancy is a separate, distinct post from the identically-graded power-sector G-1 Consultant Transactions role advertised in the same cycle.
Interested candidates must apply online by logging into the National Job Portal (njp.gov.pk) and using the 'Login to Apply' option on this vacancy's own listing page; no application fee is mentioned in the advertisement. The notice was posted on 5 August 2026, and applications will be accepted until 6 September 2026, with queries directed to the Commission's listed contact email, landline, and mobile numbers. Insurance-sector and financial-transactions professionals meeting the stated criteria are encouraged to apply well before the closing date, ensuring their application clearly documents the required 10 years of relevant sector experience.
