Police is inviting applications from both male and female candidates for 223 vacant ASI (General Cadre) posts within Islamabad Capital Territory Police. The appointment will be made on a permanent basis, and the recruitment is being carried out to fill operational needs within the department.
Falling under BPS-11, the post offers a compensation package in line with government pay scales for permanent appointments. The exact salary and benefits will be determined as per the rules and regulations applicable to permanent positions at this grade.
The posting will be at Islamabad Capital Territory Police. However, the appointing authority retains the right to post the selected candidate to any office or station under Islamabad Capital Territory Police within Islamabad or elsewhere in Pakistan as circumstances demand.
The posts have been distributed as follows: 8 open merit, 21 women quota, 11 minority quota. Candidates applying under reserved quotas must provide supporting documentation at the time of application or during the interview stage to validate their eligibility under the relevant category.
The prescribed age limit is 18-25 years (as on the closing date). Age relaxation rules issued by the government from time to time shall apply.
Age note: Age relaxed to 26 years, 11 months & 7 days only for candidates who qualified for the interview stage in ICT Police Recruitment Process 2024, per Islamabad High Court order dated 16.03.2026. Cut-off date for age calculation is the closing date 08.07.2026.
Applicants must possess at least BA/B.Sc or equivalent from a recognized university. Physical Standards: Minimum height 5 ft-7 in (male) / 5 ft-2 in (female); Chest 33x34 1/2 inches (men only); must pass endurance test (1 mile run in 7 minutes for male, 10 minutes for female). from a university or board recognized by the Higher Education Commission (HEC) or the relevant accrediting body.
A Physical/Endurance Test + Written/Computer-based Test + Interview will be conducted as part of the recruitment process.
An application processing fee of Rs. 2000 (non-refundable) is required. The fee must be deposited through the prescribed mode of payment.

Applications must reach Police via the online portal at https://npftas.pk/ no later than 15 July 2026. Late or incomplete applications will summarily be rejected.
Candidates are advised to read the complete advertisement carefully before applying. Only shortlisted candidates will be called for test/interview, and no TA/DA will be admissible for appearing in the test or interview. The decision of Police in all matters relating to selection, appointment, and posting shall be final.
