Punjab Transport Company (PTC), a company wholly owned by the Government of the Punjab and registered under the Companies Act 2017, has invited applications from eligible candidates for 1 post(s) of Deputy Manager (Legal) in its Project Management Unit (PMU). PTC states that its PMUs and PIUs serve as a core internal cell structured to monitor construction progress, support decision-making workflows, ensure project documentation integrity, and facilitate timely resolution of technical and contractual matters in line with the wider implementation framework for its electric bus depot project scheme in Lahore. Eligible candidates must hold LLB from an HEC-recognized university; LLM shall be preferred. Minimum 8 years of relevant legal experience; experience in the public sector shall be preferred. Key responsibilities of the role include: Manage all land-related activities for the electric bus depots, including identification of required private land and transfer of state lands, ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations. Coordinate with PTC, T&MD, the Board of Revenue and district administration, and facilitate acquisition under applicable land acquisition laws. Coordinate with legal teams and relevant stakeholders to resolve land ownership disputes and right-of-way (RoW) issues. Manage all legal matters related to the planning, execution, and operation of the electric bus depots. Handle legal vetting of contracts and agreements, contractual disputes and claims, and provide legal advice on procurement and project matters. Any other task assigned.
