Small and Medium Enterprises Development Authority (SMEDA), Ministry of Industries & Production, Government of Pakistan has announced a recruitment drive for 1 National Institutional and Policy Assessment Expert post on a contractual basis. The opportunity is open to both male and female candidates who meet the prescribed eligibility criteria, and the vacancy falls under the purview of SMEDA.

The posting will be at Karachi. However, the appointing authority retains the right to post the selected candidate to any office or station under Small and Medium Enterprises Development Authority (SMEDA), Ministry of Industries & Production, Government of Pakistan within Sindh or elsewhere in Pakistan as circumstances demand.

The prescribed age limit is 18-35 years (as on the closing date). Age relaxation rules issued by the government from time to time shall apply.

Age note: Relaxation of upper age limit shall be applicable as permissible under government policy — specific limit not stated in ad; schema default used.

Applicants must possess at least Master's degree (minimum 16 years of education) in Public Policy, International Relations, Political Science, Institutional Development, Law, Public Administration, Agricultural Policy, Environmental Policy, or a related field from an HEC-recognized or reputable international institution. from a university or board recognized by the Higher Education Commission (HEC) or the relevant accrediting body.

Applicants are required to have Minimum 5 years of relevant professional experience in institutional assessment, policy analysis, governance reform, or regulatory frameworks, preferably within development, government, or climate/agribusiness sectors.. Relevant experience must be substantiated with proper documentation, including experience certificates from previous employers.

In addition to the written test, shortlisted candidates will be called for a personal interview. The interview will be conducted by a panel appointed by SMEDA, and candidates must bring all original documents.
