About This Job

Pakistan WAPDA Foundation (PWF), a welfare body of the Water and Power Development Authority that runs projects for the welfare of retired employees and the families of deceased employees of WAPDA, its DISCOs, GENCOs and the National Grid Company, has advertised one contract vacancy for the post of Secretary in BPS-19. The Foundation, based at Haleem Plaza on Temple Road in Lahore, is looking for a dynamic individual with the capacity to improve its efficiency, and the appointment will initially run for one year on a contract basis, extendable on satisfactory performance up to a maximum of three years or until the incumbent turns 65, whichever comes first. The role is central to PWF's day-to-day governance, since the Secretary also acts as Secretary of the Foundation's Board of Directors and is the main point of coordination between the Managing Director and the Board on administrative, legal, and commercial matters.

Applicants must hold an MBA or an equivalent Master's degree, or a B.Sc in Engineering, from an HEC-recognized university, and the post is open only to retired employees of WAPDA, the DISCOs, or the National Grid Company who have maintained a good service record, up to a maximum age of 62 years. Candidates are additionally required to have at least four years of experience serving as a Manager, Director, or an equivalent post in BPS-19 or higher, with those who also bring administrative experience given preference over others. The position is advertised on an Open Merit basis with no domicile restriction, and the successful candidate will be responsible for a wide range of duties including preparing Board meeting agendas and minutes, coordinating implementation of Board decisions, formulating employee rules and regulations, conducting correspondence on the Foundation's behalf, and processing Widow and Marriage Grant cases for the families PWF supports.

Interested and eligible retired officers should prepare a typed application together with a detailed CV, attested copies of educational documents, CNIC, Retirement Order, and Regular Promotion Order in BPS-19, along with two recent passport-size photographs. The completed application must reach the Managing Director, Pakistan WAPDA Foundation, 1st Floor Haleem Plaza, 10-Temple Road, Lahore, on or before 9 October 2026 during office hours, or may instead be emailed to secretary.pwf@gmail.com with scanned copies of all supporting documents attached. No application fee has been mentioned in the advertisement, but incomplete applications or those received after the due date will not be entertained, so eligible retired candidates are encouraged to compile their paperwork and submit it well ahead of the deadline to be considered for this senior administrative role.
