About This Job

ZTBL is inviting applications from both male and female candidates for 1 vacant Resident Shariah Board Member (RSBM) post within Shariah Compliance. The appointment will be made on a contractual basis, and the recruitment is being carried out to fill operational needs within the department.

Duty station: ZTBL Head Office, Islamabad. Selected candidates will be required to report to this location, although the department reserves the right to transfer or reassign personnel to other locations within Islamabad as operational needs arise.

Candidates must be between 18 and 61 years of age as on the last date for submission of applications. Upper age relaxation may be available as per government rules.

To be eligible, candidates must hold Shahadat ul Aalamiyyah Degree (Dars e Nizami) or similar degree from recognized institution/Board of Madaris AND Bachelor's Degree (other than Madaris Degree); OR Post Graduate Degree in Kuliyyatush Shariah or Kuliyyah Usooluddin, LLM (Shariah) or equivalent from recognized University; OR Shariah Scholar member of Shariah Board/Committees of internationally reputed organizations from a recognized institution. All degrees and certificates must be verified, and candidates should be prepared to present original documents during the selection process.

Applicants are required to have Minimum 4 years experience giving Shariah rulings including period of Takhassus fil Ifta; OR minimum 5 years post-qualification experience in teaching or Research & Development in Islamic Banking and Finance; preference to certificate holders in Takhassus fil Fiqh/Takhassus fil Ifta and those with 3 years experience as Shariah Advisor or Member of SB of an Islamic Financial Institution. Relevant experience must be substantiated with proper documentation, including experience certificates from previous employers.

In addition to the written test, shortlisted candidates will be called for a personal interview. The interview will be conducted by a panel appointed by ZTBL, and candidates must bring all original documents.

The initial contract period for this position is 3 years (extendable). Extension of the contract beyond the initial term will depend on performance, availability of funds, and operational requirements of the department.
