The Bank of Punjab (BOP), the Punjab government-owned commercial bank with more than 35 years of operations and a network of over 900 branches across Pakistan, has advertised the post of Associate Manager - SME Risk in its Commercial & SME Risk Division (Risk Management Group). The vacancy is based in Lahore and is offered on the bank's internal grade scale at Band-10 to Band-09, with 2 positions mentioned in the advertisement. BOP says it is inviting experienced, dedicated and performance-driven professionals as part of its progression strategy, and presents the role as a chance to build a long-term career in a dynamic organization. According to the job summary, the duties begin with the following: Comprehensive All-inclusive risk assessment in line with credit principles (Bank Credit Policy Manual. Risk Management Policy & SBP PRs/ guidelines etc.) of ME/ assigned portfolio and recommend for approval / rejection of credit proposal solely based on qualitative/ quantitative aspects of the case in hand to ensure adequate loan portfolio quality minimizing credit losses. Finalizing all Credit Proposals within the pre-defined Turn Around Time (TAT) to ensure smooth and efficient workflow. The full list of responsibilities in the official advertisement goes further, and it is reproduced in the additional details section of this listing so applicants can compare it with their own experience before applying. Because the bank's bands run in reverse order, a lower band number means a more senior position, so the Band-10 to Band-09 range gives a fair idea of where this opening sits in BOP's structure.
On eligibility, the advertisement sets the education requirement as follows: Minimum Bachelor's Degree from a HEC recognized Local/ Foreign University. Preference will be given to Master Degree holders. The experience requirement reads: Minimum 02 to 04 Years' Experience, including Banking/Non-Banking Preference shall be given to candidates having relevant experience. Candidates must be up to 55 years of age as on the date of application. The advertisement does not restrict the post by domicile or gender, and BOP states that it is an equal opportunity employer that encourages females, minorities, differently abled persons and transgender persons to apply. Remuneration is described only as market-based and competitive, so no fixed salary figure is published, and the final package will depend on the band offered and the candidate's profile. Applicants should make sure their degree is from an HEC-recognised local or foreign institution and that their CV clearly shows the length and type of their banking or relevant experience, since these are the main screening criteria stated by the bank.
Applications are accepted online only. Candidates should open the BOP careers page at www.bop.com.pk/available-jobs, find the Associate Manager - SME Risk opening in the list of current vacancies and click Apply Now, which opens the bank's online application form. The form asks for personal information, academic and professional qualifications, experience, any relationship with existing staff and a resume upload, and it must be submitted by 21 October 2026. No application fee is mentioned. Only shortlisted candidates will be called for interview, no TA/DA will be paid for attending it, and the bank keeps the right to accept or reject any application without giving reasons. Eligible candidates are advised to prepare their documents in advance and submit the form well before the closing date rather than on the last day.
