About This Job

The Child Protection and Welfare Bureau (CPWB), Punjab, an autonomous body under the administrative control of the Home Department, Government of Punjab, has announced 111 vacancies for Child Attendants through the National Testing Service (NTS), making this by far the largest part of its October 2026 recruitment. The Bureau is based at Angoori Bagh Scheme, Link Shalimar Road, Lahore, and works for the protection and welfare of children across the province. The posts are split by gender: 26 are for men (24 on open merit, one on the minority quota and one on the special persons quota) and 85 are for women (78 on open merit, four on the minority quota and three on the special persons quota). Selected attendants can be posted anywhere in Punjab. The appointments are on a lump-sum pay package for one year, extendable depending on budget availability and performance, and the advertisement does not state the amount of the package.

The basic requirement is a Secondary School Certificate (Matric) in at least second division from a recognised board, which makes these posts accessible to a wide pool of applicants. Preference will be given to candidates who have two years of experience in child care, supervision, rehabilitation or welfare of children in a government, semi-government, autonomous or private institution registered with a government regulatory body. Both men and women can apply against their respective seats. The advertisement sets the age limit at 25 to 32 years, with relaxation under the Punjab Government's policy, and age is calculated on the last date for online applications; the NTS portal lists the range for this post as 25 to 37 years. Only Pakistani nationals of Punjab province are eligible, and serving employees of government departments, autonomous or semi-autonomous institutions or attached departments must apply through proper channel.

Applications for this post are taken only through the National Testing Service. Candidates register on the NTS website, open the Child Protection Welfare Bureau, Punjab October 2026 project (code 2610201) from the Open Applications list, and submit the online form for the post they want. The written test fee is Rs. 550, plus a Rs. 10 service charge shown on the NTS portal. It can be paid at 1Link 1Bill participating banks, ATMs, internet or mobile banking, Easypaisa, JazzCash or TCS Express counters, and it is non-refundable and non-transferable. After applying online, candidates must send a printed copy of the generated application form with two recent passport-size photographs and attested copies of their CNIC, domicile, educational certificates and experience certificate to the NTS Lahore office at 201, FF Block, CCA, Phase IV, DHA, Lahore. These papers must arrive before the deadline, otherwise the application may be rejected, and forms handed directly to the Bureau will not be accepted. The last date for online applications is 31 October 2026, and NTS has announced a tentative test date of 15 November 2026. Only shortlisted candidates will be invited for interview, no TA/DA is paid for the test or interview, and the Bureau keeps the right to withhold appointments or change the number of posts without giving a reason. Anyone interested should register early and post the hard copy in good time so it reaches the NTS office before the closing date.
