About This Job

The Local Government & Community Development Department (LG&CDD), Government of the Punjab, through its Program Management Unit for the Punjab Cities Improvement Investment Program (PMU-PICIIP), is hiring project incremental staff for the City Implementation Team (Rawalpindi) under the "Developing Resilient Environment and Advancing Municipal Services (DREAMS-I)" program. Advertised on 4 August 2026, the notice invites applications for one post of Daak Runner, to be engaged on contract for an initial period of one year, extendable based on satisfactory performance. The selected candidate will be responsible for the dispatch and receipt of official mail and correspondence (dak) for the City Implementation Team office in Rawalpindi.

Candidates should have passed Middle standard or equivalent, with preferably two years of relevant work experience. The post is open to both male and female applicants aged 18 to 50 years, and a valid Punjab domicile is required for eligibility; women and candidates from minority communities are especially encouraged to apply. Salaries for this and other project incremental staff positions are market-based, as approved in the program's PC-I, and presently stand at approximately Rs.40,000 per month.

Eligible candidates holding domicile of Punjab province should apply online through the Punjab Job Portal at jobs.punjab.gov.pk on or before 16 August 2026, attaching an updated CV/resume, one recent passport-size photograph, and attested copies of academic certificates, experience letters, domicile certificate, and CNIC. Candidates already in government service must forward their applications through proper channel. Incomplete applications, or those received after the due date, will not be entertained. Selected staff may be posted or transferred between the Project Coordination Unit and any City Implementation Team as per project requirements.
