The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Public Service Commission has issued Advertisement No. 09/2026, dated 10 September 2026, inviting online applications for four leftover posts of Deputy Superintendent of Police (BPS-17) under the Fast Track Promotion Quota within the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Police. Eligible candidates must hold at least a second class Bachelor's degree or an equivalent qualification from a recognized university, and must already have satisfactorily completed their probation period with confirmation in the rank of Inspector. Applicants must not have received any major penalty in the preceding three years and must have completed a two-week basic course at one of the four Police Specialized Schools during their service as a Junior Officer. The post is open to both male and female candidates holding a Khyber Pakhtunkhwa domicile, including the merged districts, with age reckoned as of 1 January 2026 and only the qualification held on the closing date considered valid. Candidates who hold the Quaid-e-Azam Police Medal or Pakistan Police Medal receive 10 additional marks in the selection process, while those who have completed the six-month Basic Elite Training Course receive 5 additional marks. The prescribed syllabus for the written examination is available for download on the official KPPSC website, and candidates are advised to review it well ahead of applying.

A non-refundable application fee of Rs. 500 (excluding service charges) is payable through the 1Bill option available on major banking apps such as NBP, HBL, ABL, BoK and BoP, or through microfinance apps including EasyPaisa, JazzCash and Upaisa. Supporting documents are not required at the time of application and will only be sought later by the Commission during scrutiny of shortlisted candidates; only attested copies of original degrees and certificates will be accepted at that stage. Candidates are advised to carefully fill in and preview every column of the online form before final submission, since no alteration to submitted entries — including domicile details — is permitted afterward. The closing date for submission is 28 September 2026 at 5:00 PM, and candidates should complete their applications well before the deadline to avoid last-minute technical issues on the KPPSC portal.
