Lahore Electric Supply Company Limited (LESCO) has announced 36 vacancies for the post of Meter Reader, the largest single category under its recruitment drive Advertisement No. LESCO#40(2026-27), which covers 12 categories of contract-basis positions across the company's jurisdiction of Lahore, Kasur, Sheikhupura, Okara and Nankana Districts. Of the 36 posts, 27 fall under the direct quota, 7 under the LESCO Employees' Children Quota and 2 under the minority quota.

Eligible candidates must have passed HSSC in Arts, Commerce or Science, or an equivalent qualification, from a recognized Board. The maximum age limit is 30 years as on the closing date of the advertisement, already inclusive of standard age relaxation, and the post is open only to candidates domiciled in the five districts served by LESCO. Selected candidates will be engaged purely on contract basis under a market-based lump sum package with a six-month probation period, and the role primarily involves field-based meter reading duties across LESCO's service area.

A test fee of Rs. 80 per applicant is payable via 1-Bill Payment in any banking app using the PSID generated on the OTS portal. Applicants must upload scanned copies of their HSSC certificate, CNIC, domicile certificate and a recent photograph while completing the online application form. Only candidates meeting the eligibility criteria for this post will be called for the written test, and LESCO reserves the right to increase, decrease or cancel the number of posts at any stage without assigning any reason.
