Responsibilities span maintaining discipline inside the female hostel, controlling movement in and out of the premises, conducting the nightly roll-call and reporting to the Commanding Officer, carrying out spot checks of student rooms, ensuring hygiene and mess-rule compliance, checking food quality, maintaining hostel amenities and furniture records, controlling hostel staff including cooks and waiters, and remaining available on the premises around the clock while reporting daily to the Company Commander.
