Pakistan Navy has opened online registration for Term 2027-A of the PN Cadet scheme, inviting male Pakistani citizens to join the Operations Branch on a permanent commission basis. Selected candidates complete four years of basic training before being commissioned as Navy officers and awarded a BS (Maritime Sciences) degree. The scheme is open both to fresh civilian applicants and to serving members of the Armed Forces, and recruitment is conducted through 18 Pakistan Navy Recruitment & Selection Centres spread across the country - including Karachi, Lahore, Rawalpindi, Peshawar, Quetta, Muzaffarabad, Gilgit and Gwadar - giving candidates from every province a nearby centre to register and appear for testing without having to travel far from home.
Applicants must be male citizens of Pakistan standing at least 5'4" tall, with age reckoned as on 15 May 2027: unmarried civilian candidates must fall between 16½ and 21 years, while serving Armed Forces personnel in uniform (married or unmarried) may apply between 17 and 23 years. On the academic side, candidates need Matric plus FSc or O/A Level with at least 60% marks in Physics, Maths & Chemistry, or Physics, Maths & Computer Science, or Physics, Maths & Statistics. Pre-Medical students may also apply provided they clear additional Mathematics in FSc/A-Level before 15 March 2027. O/A Level candidates must submit an IBCC equivalence certificate, and FSc-appearing candidates with at least 65% marks in Part-1 may apply with a hope certificate from their college/institute head, provided they complete their FSc/HSSC equivalent exam before 15 May 2027; failing to secure 60% overall after submitting a hope certificate results in disqualification at any stage of selection or training.
Interested candidates can register online at joinpaknavy.gov.pk from 13 September to 11 October 2026, choosing a preferred recruitment centre and an entrance-test slot at the time of registration itself. The computer-based entrance test covers intelligence and academic sections, and the registration fee is payable directly at the test centre on the day of the test. Candidates who clear the written test go on to a physical efficiency test, a medical screening, and an ISSB interview before final merit-based selection by Naval Headquarters, with shortlisting results expected during the fourth week of October 2026. Candidates should keep their original Matric and FSc certificates, detailed mark sheets, CNIC or Juvenile Card, and IBCC equivalence certificate (where applicable) ready well in advance of test day, since incomplete documentation can hold up e-Testing on the spot. Given the limited registration window, eligible candidates are encouraged to apply well ahead of the 11 October 2026 closing date rather than waiting until the final days.
