The Punjab Land Record Authority (PLRA) has announced four contract-based vacancies for the post of GIS Analyst under its Project Management Unit for the Board of Revenue (PMU-BOR), based in Lahore. This project supports PLRA's continued digitization of Punjab's land records, and the GIS Analyst will play a central role in field-level geospatial data collection, verification, and integration into the authority's land information systems. Working alongside senior GIS staff, the successful candidates will use GPS-enabled devices and Android-based survey applications to capture parcel boundaries, structures, and other spatial features that feed directly into PLRA's automated land record databases used by revenue officials and the public across the province. PLRA continues to expand its computerized land record management system to more districts, tehsils, and service centres, and this recruitment reflects the growing technical demands of that expansion.
Eligible candidates must hold at least sixteen years of education (Master's or four-year Bachelor's/Honours) in Information Technology, Software Engineering, Computer Science, Space Science, Geographic Information Systems (GIS), or Geomatics/Geography from an HEC-recognized university or institute, along with a minimum of two years of relevant post-qualification experience in collecting or managing GIS data through GPS devices, Android survey applications, or other GIS tools. The position is open to both male and female applicants aged between 25 and 70 years. A valid, attested Punjab domicile certificate is required to be considered eligible, as explicitly stated on the official job posting, and candidates should ensure this documentation is in order before applying, since incomplete applications are unlikely to be considered by the recruiting project unit.
Interested and eligible candidates should apply online through the Punjab Job Portal (jobs.punjab.gov.pk) by completing the application form for this specific post before the closing date. No application fee is indicated on the portal listing for this position, and applicants should have scanned copies of their CNIC, domicile certificate, and educational documents ready for upload during the application process. Applications must be submitted by August 7, 2026, after which no further submissions will be entertained. Only candidates meeting the stated educational and experience criteria are advised to apply for this Lahore-based, GIS-focused role supporting Punjab's provincial land record modernization programme under the Board of Revenue project.
