About This Job

The Punjab Land Record Authority (PLRA) has announced two contract-based vacancies for the post of Software Developer under its Project Management Unit for the Board of Revenue (PMU-BOR), based in Lahore. The Software Developer will design and maintain spatial databases and GIS-enabled applications that support PLRA's land record systems, including tools used for disaster risk mapping and spatial decision support alongside the project's core land administration functions. The role requires hands-on development work across web and geospatial technology stacks to keep PLRA's systems reliable as data volumes grow with the project's expanding district coverage.

Eligible candidates must hold at least sixteen years of education in GIS, Computer Science, or Information Technology from an HEC-recognized university or institute, along with a minimum of five years of post-qualification experience designing and managing spatial databases and spatial feature representation. Required programming skills include Silverlight, AJAX, ASP.NET, MVC, ArcGIS, Oracle databases, SQL, and general GIS database design. Familiarity with GIS4DRM tools and products, strong experience with Raster Analyst and Spatial Analyst extensions, photogrammetric tools, and independent image classification is expected, and knowledge of the HAZUS damage-and-loss planning tool or Spatial Decision Support Systems (SDSS) is considered a strong asset. The position is open to both male and female applicants aged between 30 and 70 years, and a valid, attested Punjab domicile certificate is required to be considered eligible.

Interested and eligible candidates should apply online through the Punjab Job Portal (jobs.punjab.gov.pk) by completing the application form for this specific post before the closing date. No application fee is indicated on the portal listing for this position. Applications must be submitted by August 7, 2026, after which no further submissions will be entertained, and only candidates meeting the stated technical and experience criteria are advised to apply for these Lahore-based software development roles within PLRA's Board of Revenue project.
