PPSC is inviting applications from both male and female candidates for 8 vacant Deputy Director Agriculture (OFWM) posts within Water Management Wing, Agriculture Department. The appointment will be made on a contractual basis, and the recruitment is being carried out to fill operational needs within the department.

The position is classified under the BPS-18 pay scale, and the appointment terms including salary, allowances, and service conditions will be governed by the applicable rules of PPSC. Selected candidates can expect standard government benefits applicable to contractual posts at this grade level.

The posting will be at Anywhere in Punjab. However, the appointing authority retains the right to post the selected candidate to any office or station under Water Management Wing, Agriculture Department within Punjab or elsewhere in Pakistan as circumstances demand.

The posts have been distributed as follows: 6 open merit, 1 women quota, 1 special persons. Candidates applying under reserved quotas must provide supporting documentation at the time of application or during the interview stage to validate their eligibility under the relevant category.

Applicants must hold a valid Anywhere in Punjab domicile. Only candidates who can furnish a properly issued domicile certificate from the relevant district or authority will be considered eligible for this position.

Candidates must be between 25 and 40 years of age as on the last date for submission of applications. Upper age relaxation may be available as per government rules.

Applicants must possess at least M.Sc in Agricultural Engineering; OR Master's degree in Water Engineering and Management; OR M.Sc (Hons) in Agriculture (equivalent to 18 years education) with 3 years post-qualification experience in BS-18 OR 7 years in BS-17. from a university or board recognized by the Higher Education Commission (HEC) or the relevant accrediting body.

Experience requirement: 3 years post-qualification experience in BS-18 or 7 years in BS-17 (if M.Sc Hons Agriculture).. Candidates must demonstrate the required experience through experience certificates, appointment letters, or other official documentation.

Syllabus for the written test: Qualification related questions (80%); General Ability including General Knowledge, Pakistan Studies, Current Affairs, Geography, English, Urdu, Basic Mathematics, Everyday Science, Basic Computer Studies (20%). Candidates are advised to prepare thoroughly according to the prescribed syllabus.

A mcq will be conducted as part of the recruitment process, with a total of 100 marks and a time limit of 90 minutes.
