About This Job

PPSC is inviting applications from both male and female candidates for 1 vacant Engineer Lab post within Directorate General of Industries Punjab, Industries Commerce & Investment Department. The appointment will be made on a contractual basis, and the recruitment is being carried out to fill operational needs within the department.

The position is classified under the BPS-17 pay scale, and the appointment terms including salary, allowances, and service conditions will be governed by the applicable rules of PPSC. Selected candidates can expect standard government benefits applicable to contractual posts at this grade level.

The posting will be at All over Punjab. However, the appointing authority retains the right to post the selected candidate to any office or station under Directorate General of Industries Punjab, Industries Commerce & Investment Department within Punjab or elsewhere in Pakistan as circumstances demand.

The posts have been distributed as follows: 1 open merit. Candidates applying under reserved quotas must provide supporting documentation at the time of application or during the interview stage to validate their eligibility under the relevant category.

The prescribed age limit is 21-33 years (as on the closing date). Age relaxation rules issued by the government from time to time shall apply.

To be eligible, candidates must hold B.Sc (Electrical or Mechanical) Engineering (Second Division) from a University recognized by HEC. from a recognized institution. All degrees and certificates must be verified, and candidates should be prepared to present original documents during the selection process.

Syllabus for the written test: B.Sc Electrical Engineering (40%), B.Sc Mechanical Engineering (40%), General Knowledge including Pakistan Studies, Current Affairs, Geography, Basic Mathematics, English, Urdu, Everyday Science, Basic Computer Studies (20%). Candidates are advised to prepare thoroughly according to the prescribed syllabus.

A mcq will be conducted as part of the recruitment process, with a total of 100 marks and a time limit of 90 minutes.
