About This Job

The University of the Punjab's Centre for Applied Molecular Biology (CAMB) in Lahore has advertised one post of Attendant, alongside three Chowkidar posts in the same notice. CAMB is a leading research centre for molecular biology, genetics and biotechnology, located on West Canal Bank Road near Thokar Niaz Baig. The post is purely on a daily wages, contingent basis for a period of 89 days, paid from the university's self-supporting, departmental or contingent paid staff budget. It follows the Government of the Punjab's policy framework for work-charged employees, daily wagers and contingent paid staff. The Attendant will help with day-to-day support work in the centre's offices and research facilities. The role is temporary and does not give any right to regular appointment. Typical duties at a research centre include moving files and supplies, helping with office and laboratory upkeep, and assisting scientists and administrative staff with routine tasks. People with similar experience in offices, laboratories or hospitals will find the work familiar.

Applicants need at least a Middle-level education, and the advertisement says candidates with experience in the relevant field will be preferred. The post is open to Pakistani nationals of both genders, and the notice sets no domicile condition. All eligibility requirements must be met by the closing date, and an application will be refused if the candidate's result has not been officially announced by then. The university will observe government quotas, may give preference to higher qualifications or more experience, and will call only shortlisted candidates for test or interview, without paying TA/DA. Government employees must attach a departmental permission certificate or NOC. Providing false information can lead to disqualification and action under the rules at any stage.

Applications are accepted only through the university's online non-teaching portal at http://111.68.103.6/nonteaching, from 12 to 19 October 2026, and the portal closes at 4:00 PM on the closing date. The fee shown in the advertisement for these posts is Rs. 0, and the challan is generated online. Once the online form is submitted, the applicant must send a signed hard copy with an updated CV, attested copies of degrees, certificates, CNIC, testimonials and experience certificates, and a 1x1 photograph, by registered post or courier to CAMB, 87-West Canal Bank Road, Thokar Niaz Baig, Lahore, so that it arrives by the deadline. Hand delivery is not allowed, and the university gives no extra time for postal transit, so applicants should send their papers early.
