About This Job

The University of the Punjab's Skill Development Centre in Lahore has invited applications from suitably qualified individuals to serve as Visiting Faculty, Trainers, and Resource Persons for its short courses and skill-training programmes, which span disciplines such as information technology, business, design, health sciences and languages. This is a recurring, need-based engagement rather than a regular sanctioned post, intended to bring practising professionals and subject specialists into the classroom to deliver hands-on, industry-relevant training alongside the Centre's core teaching staff; the closing date for this round of applications has been extended to August 10, 2026.

Eligibility is flexible and practice-oriented: a candidate may qualify by holding an MPhil degree in the relevant field, OR a recognized professional certification in the discipline concerned, OR by demonstrating substantial industry or professional experience that establishes practical expertise in the specific course(s) applied for. The Centre has not prescribed a fixed teaching or training experience threshold, noting only that prior teaching, training or relevant industry background will be considered favourably during shortlisting. The engagement is open to both men and women of any domicile in Pakistan, and since it is a contractual, course-by-course visiting arrangement rather than a regular BPS post, the advertisement does not specify an age limit or any reserved quota for women, minorities, or persons with disabilities.

Interested applicants should prepare an updated CV together with a short cover letter that clearly names the course(s) they are applying to teach, and submit these documents by hand, by post, or by courier to the Director, Skill Development Centre, University of the Punjab, Quaid-i-Azam Campus, Lahore, during normal office hours on or before the closing date of August 10, 2026; unlike most other Punjab University postings, this one is not processed through the online jobs.pu.edu.pk portal. Candidates already serving in a government or semi-government department should route their application through the proper departmental channel. For queries, applicants may contact the Skill Development Centre directly at info.sdc@edu.pk or 042-99230083.
